The International Media Cup (IMC) is a new regatta for the media sector that allows a highly competitive industry to enjoy a thrilling and rewarding sailing experience.
This challenging racing experience is open to a broad range of media companies and agencies, including, advertising, design, television, production, press and magazines.
How The Event Works...
The International Media Cup takes place in the Solent, aboard high performance Beneteau First 40.7 yachts. All teams will race on the same type of yacht with a professional race officer organsing a series of short, exciting races. Prior to the Grand Final Race Weekend, teams will have the opportunity to attend a training and Match Racing day during the months of May and June 2007. This will allow teams to safely prepare for the finals, become familiar with sailing on Beneteau 40.7s and start building their team and developing team work.
International Media Cup Package...
The International Media Cup is available at the highly competitive cost of £4,495 + VAT and includes the following:
► Charter of a Beneteau First 40.7 yacht for up to 10 guests/crew members for a Match race and training day in May or June 2007
► Charter a First 40.7 yacht for up to 10 guests/crew members for the weekend of 30th June - 1st July 2007
► Accommodation onboard the yacht for 6-8 guests at no additional cost for both the evening before the Match race day and the weekend of 30th June - 1st July 2007.
► A professional skipper and 1st mate for both charters.
► Your company logo prominently displayed on the yacht for the Grand Final.
► IMC Dinner and Prize Giving at an exclusive Yacht Club, to include a 3 course dinner and wine on the Grand Final Weekend
► All moorings in Hamble and Cowes
► Professional Race Officer and full regatta support
► Eligibility to win the Media Match Race Trophy as well as the International Media Cup
► Racing lunch for the Match Race Day and the Grand Final Race Day (30th June)

Providing all the necessary race training...
With our professional skippers and deck hands on board, an initial period is set aside for the yacht familiarisation and safety procedures. During the preliminary race training session you will practice and learn all aspects of performance sailing, race tactics and boat ‘set up’ to ensure a memorable sail.
