As the main social, sporting and networking event for lawyers, the Manches Cup has established itself as one of the largest regattas in the country. The Manches Cup is open to competitors of all levels of experience, from the complete novice to the expert yachtsman. Request Details >> JUNE 2008 ►►►► [Back] Lutine Lineslip Regatta: Wednesday 4th - Thursday 5th June 2008 In June 2008, teams from the insurance industry will come together for the 8th staging of the Lutine Lineslip Regatta. More than twenty teams are expected to participate in the regatta. Companies involved in the insurance industry, be they insurers, brokers, reinsures or professional advisers, will find participation in the Lutine Lineslip Regatta a valuable way to raise its profile, network within the industry and entertain clients, potential clients and staff. Request Details >> IRC Championships: Friday 13th June - Sunday 15th June 2008 Entries from all over the world will be at this year’s IRC Championships, making it a truly international event. Whilst the majority of the yachts are from the United Kingdom, there are yachts competing from; Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Russia and the United States of America. Well over sixty yachts are expected to be racing on tight Solent courses with eight races planned over three days. The event has been running since 1826 and not only has an exciting race schedule, but it also has a full social programme ashore throughout the whole week. Request Details >> Beneteau Cup: Friday 15th August to Sunday 17th August 2008 2008 promises to be another fabulous year for the Bénéteau Cup. There are four divisions to choose from, depending on how seriously you want to race - full-on IRC grand prix, leisurely white sail racing, or a mixture of fun racing and a very entertaining Treasure Hunt. There is fun for all the family, and serious competition for the hot-shots. All racing will be in the Solent, and berthing facilities are at the Cowes Yacht Haven. 2008. The Jubilee Sailing Trust will hold its 12th annual Windsor Cup Regatta in Cowes on 5th to 6th September. The event is open to any boat as long as at least one crew member is from a medical, dental, pharmaceutical or other health-related profession. All money raised at the fun regatta will be donated to the Jubilee Sailing Trust, a unique charity that aims to promote the integration of people of all physical abilities through tall ship sailing. The trust owns and operates the Lord Nelson and the Tenacious, the only tall ships in the world purpose-built to enable a crew of mixed physical abilities to sail side by side on equal terms. Since the first Windsor Cup 10 years ago, over £90,000 has been raised for the Trust. Each year the LBCC raises over £100,000 for charity and always proves to be one of the most enjoyable and competitive regattas in the sailing calendar.
